Starting at 04.45am in the morning
We are now taking bookings for our ever-popular dawn chorus walk, a chance to welcome the beginning of a new day, softly, as nature intended. With experts at hand, to help you identify the individual performers, you can experience a springtime dawn chorus from the very first chirp.
A dawn chorus is a magical experience, a chance to let the avian joy seep inside you, touch your soul and reconnect with nature. Our guided dawn chorus walk is as much about exploring the dawn soundscape and gently losing yourself in nature, as it is about identifying each and every bird song.
It is often cold early in the morning, so if you wish to join the walk please remember to dress up snuggly and warm. It’s a very gentle walk, of about a mile, taking the time to enjoy the birdsong.
We have 20 places available and we will walk around the nature reserve in two small groups, finishing the walk around 6.30am. To book yourself a space please email Steve Songhurst, our warden (details below). We ask that you make a small £5 donation to the nature reserve, on the day.
