After many years, as chair of the Management Committee, Harry Lowder has decided to step down. He will be remaining on the management committee.
We are pleased to announce that the new chairman, of the Management Committee is Ben Kirby, from 2nd September 2023. He has been vice chair for a number of years and part of the committee looking after the reserve and it’s future.
He looks after our website, bird boxes project and helps with wildlife recording surveys within the reserve.
“I have always had the nature reserve at heart. With it being on my doorstep, spending many hours of my time in it, I was keen to support its future. It was an honour to accept becoming a member of the management committee when Harry asked me many years ago now and then become the vice chair.
As I step up and become the next chairman, I hope I can continue with the hard work Harry has done and help keep the nature reserve a place for all to enjoy, with the help of members of the management committee.”
