Walking 4 Wildlife – Sunday 13th April 2025

We are excited to announce our charity event, “Walk 4 Wildlife,” aimed at encouraging children and their families to explore the Vinters Valley Nature Reserve while raising funds for our initiative. This engaging experience invites you to awaken your senses sight, sound, and smell as you immerse yourself in nature and document your findings.

Join us for a stroll around the Reserve on Sunday, April 13th, anytime between 11 a.m. and 3p.m. The sponsorship program will feature an Alphabet Table for the “Wildlife Explorers”, enabling them to keep track of their discoveries while participating in the Walk 4 Wildlife challenge. By securing sponsorship from friends and family, you’ll be contributing to essential funds that support the reserve while enjoying quality time outdoors. You can gather donations based on each letter of the alphabet you find or as a flat donation for completing the walk. Don’t forget to bring your sponsorship form listing your sponsors and the funds you’ve collected. (A card machine will be available for those who don’t receive cash donations.) Since this event takes place around lunchtime, feel free to bring along snacks and drinks for a delightful picnic.

Every child who finishes the event will earn a badge to celebrate their accomplishment.Additionally, the school that raises the most funds will win an educational session with ourwarden, available for a school day or a class trip (up to 30 children).

Our Nature Reserve thrives because of the generous donations and fundraising efforts from local community members who cherish this “hidden gem.” As a registered charity with over 30 years dedicated to nurturing and enhancing the Reserve, we are committed to continuing this mission for many more years, with your ongoing support.

We welcome anyone to come along, but we look forward to seeing everyone that is already taking part. Thank you for your support.
