Bird of the Month 2022

One of volunteers, Ben, spends many an hour wandering the reserve identifying and logging the bird species found within the reserve each year.

Since recording began back in 1992, there have been 100 different species seen\heard within the reserve.  For a reserve surrounded by housing estates, busy roads and ever-changing environments this is an impressive number.

This year we thought it would be good to celebrate the bird life in the reserve and so we have chosen a number of different bird species to create a ‘Bird of the month’ for 2022.

This is a chance to learn about different bird species and possibly see them yourself, during your visit.

The current ‘Bird of the month’ is displayed at our two bird feeding stations and can also be found on our website.
