Due to the current weather forecast and as butterflies do not fly in the rain , the planned Butterfly photographic expedition on Saturday 19th July 2025 has been postponed.
Ben will now lead the walk on Saturday 2nd August 2025 from 10am to Midday.
The last couple of summers have not been ideal weather conditions for many of the butterfly species to be found in the nature reserve. But we are hoping that the wonderful warm spring and the recent hot sunshine will ensure a better butterfly season this summer.
Our chairman, Ben Kirby, has been photographing butterflies for more than 25 years and would love to share his tips on finding and photographing butterflies with you this summer.
So, whether you are new to butterfly spotting or want to gain first-hand knowledge of the butterflies to be found in the reserve and how best to try and photograph them, why not join Ben on Saturday 19th July and experience all the joys of butterfly spotting this summer.

A donation of £5 per person would be welcome to help towards funding the management of our conservation areas within the nature reserve.
