New Celebration Stone – Celebrating 30 Years

Vinters Valley Park Trust was formed back in September 1991 to manage what we know today as Vinters Valley Nature Reserve, a place where the public can enjoy being with nature and allow the wildlife to thrive.

The reserve is NOT run by any council. It is thanks to our friends, visitors, supporters and a group of dedicated local volunteers that Vinters Valley Park Trust CIO can continue to maintain the reserve.

In 2021, the Trust was 30 years old, however due to the pandemic, we were unable to fully celebrate.

In July 2022, we held a Celebration Day, with guided walks, the opening of the anniversary trail and photographic and art competition.

To mark 30 years, a special stone and plaque has been donated by Gallagher. Thank you to them for the donation, the time provided to organise transport and help install it.

Below are a selection of photos, taken during the installation of the stone. Thank you to Martin Cox for providing them:

To find and view the stone, enter the reserve from the Lodge Road entrance and follow the path (past the History Notice Board). You will see the stone in front of you.
