Bird Boxes project - Diary
pages - 14th April 2007
Today saw the another survey carried
out.
Four new nests were found today and
two of them were in dormouse boxes.
The robin box, which has moss, twigs
and leaves in has seen some very small changes made,
so it is just possibly something has come back. It
is still unknown what though.
The weather is set to stay nice and
warm so nest building should continue and we may be
able to get some photos of them bringing nesting material
to the boxes.
Now we are mid way through April, most
birds are now nesting (Blue & Great Tit's, Blackbird's,
Song Thrush's & Robins) Sadly most of the Robin boxes
are not being used and it may now be too late this
year for any of them to be. I will still be monitoring
them as nature has it's ways of suprises . . . .
The next survey will be carried out
on Saturday 21st April.
The results from today's survey can
now be viewed on this website. Please visit the "Survey
Results" pages for more details.
