Bird Boxes project - Diary

I am writing this extra/special diary entry as we have some more good news to report.
Whilst looking for roosting Great Tits & Blue Tits, in Zone 1, last night I discovered that we have a new Robin nest, in one of the Robin boxes.
During early surveys I saw a Robin going into this box twice. During the last survey, carried out on 5th April, the nestbox was empty. So far there are no eggs, but the nest cup is now looking complete. So now we have two boxes in use by Robins.
We will be keeping a eye on the box, from a safe distance as not to distrub the bird. Hopefully in due coruse we will try and take some photos and video, which will be put onto the website for you all to see.
The next survey will be carried out on on 12th April.
