Today saw over 16 local volunteers turn
up to help install the new bird boxes, in Vinters.
A total of 40 Robin boxes, 10 Blue Tit & 10 Great
Tit boxes were put up around the wood.
The Robin boxes have all been built
by local residence out of pallet wood or oak.
The Blue & Great Tit boxes were purchased
and are made of concrete.
The
wood has been split-up into four sections. Each section
has five Tit boxes and around 10 Robin boxes.
Sadly
the weather turned for the worst and by 12pm heavy
rain swept in. Some of us stayed on and finished installing
the last few boxes, in the wet :(
Now
we need to number all the boxes, which should be next
weekend and wait for some residents.
