Vinters Valley Nature Reserve
- Events diary for 2008
The Annual General Meeting of Vinters Valley Park Trust
Thursday 27th November 2008 at Grove Green Community Centre - Starting 19:30
The AGM is a great opportunity for the local community to find out about the work of the Trust in its management of Vinters Valley Nature Reserve over the last 12 months. Anyone is welcome to attend to listen, ask questions or make suggestions.
There are a number of important changes to the Trust’s constitution that will be discussed and voted on at the meeting concerning the appointment of future trustees. We are also currently looking for two new trustees to guide the future direction of the reserve over the next few years. If you are passionate about nature and would like to actively participate in decision making affecting your own local nature reserve then do come along to the AGM and talk to us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"My Lost Kent" - by Peter Kirby of Butterfly Conservation Kent Branch After the AGM Peter Kirby will give an illustrated talk concerning the changes to the Kent Countryside over the last 50 years and how this has affected the wildlife. Peter is an excellent speaker and a true ‘countryman’ who has a wealth of knowledge about the countryside of Kent. Gleaned from both his knowledge of farming practices and wildlife observations over the last 50 years Peter will give a personal account of the changes he has seen, particularly in the local area and offer suggestions if we wish to see more wildlife in the future.
Entry to the AGM is free and refreshments will also be available at the meeting, so please make a note in your diaries now and we hope to see many of you on the night. The meeting will finish by 22:00.
For more details please contact Steve Songhurst by email or by using the "Contact Us" page.
