Bird Boxes project - Diary
pages - 17th March 2007
Today saw the first survey carried out.
Four of the Dormouse boxes showed signs of possible
use, with some fresh moss in two of them. A rooster
(a bird that uses a box overnight or during the winter)
has been using one of them also. Currently I do not
know if it is a Blue or Great Tit.
During the survey no activity was recorded
at any of the Blue Tit or Robin boxes.
There is some good news from the Great
Tit boxes. Two are in use, one is being inspected
by a pair of Great Tits and the other box is being
inspected by a Blue Tit.
The results from today's survey can
now be viewed on this website. Please visit the "Survey
Results" pages for more details.
The next survey will be carried out
on Saturday 24th March.
